Christmas

It is Christmas Eve!  The construction crews have left the job sight and won't be back until mid week.  But the work that has been done so far is tremendous.  The floor trusses are almost all in place and with another good day, they will be completed.  That will mean time to put the decking on and then the carpenters will be done until the upper walls are complete.  Spec continues to work on the concrete part of things and will be backfilling around the foundation as soon as the floor is on.  Then they will pour the upper walls and make the building ready for a roof.  Soon when you crest Colonel's hill, you should be able to see the church!!

I was a bit disappointed that things didn't come together quick enough for us to have our Christmas Eve service at the new building.  I think there would have been something special about singing carols, reading Scripture and praying there together this evening, but it will happen soon.  And next Christmas, we will have all of our Christmas events there.  Something to look forward to!!

Merry Christmas to each and every one!  May God truly add His blessing to this Christmas and the New Year ahead!  And don't forget to join us for our Christmas Eve service at 6 this evening in Weymouth at the A.D. Lab behind the Weymouth Consolidated School.  We will be having service there at 11 tomorrow morning as well.  Come join us as we celebrate the birth of our wonderful Saviour!
