Back from Vacation

Wow!  My wife and I arrived back from vacation the middle of last week and were amazed at the work that has been accomplished at our new site.  The bulldozers, excavators and dump trucks have arrived along with some great operators and there has been some land moved!  The top soil has all been pushed back, the top of the hill lowered about 8 feet and the lower areas filled in and the bulk of the material has been removed from the basement.  There is still some work to be done, but what an amazing amount has been accomplished so far.

I would like to say a special Thank You to Earl Prime for coordinating all this work.  He has put in a number of hours at our site smoothing up the ground with his John Deere tractor and keeping a close eye on what is happening, as well as lining up all the help to get the work done.  Thank You Earl!

I would also like to say Thanks to all those who have given of their time and talents in operating heavy equipment.  They have done a wonderful job and are deeply appreciated.  I hesitate to begin naming them all for fear of missing some, but all who have been there from a few hours to several days are appreciated.

The bulk of the land moving and levelling is now completed.  The basement hole will need the final touches once we have our plans finalized, but with what has been done, we feel quite confident that we could be ready to begin construction with just a day or two of excavation.  This puts us that much closer to the reality of a building and we continue to pray that it will be up and weather tight before the worst of winter hits.
